Culture

Corsica is also a land of culture, with a rich past.

  • In the north, the Ancient site of Aleria: in the heart of a Genoese fortress, discover the museum testifying to the Greek, Roman and Etruscan heritage. Next door, archaeological excavations open to the public highlight buildings from the Roman era.
  • To the south, the Alta Rocca Museum: offers the discovery of everyday life in southern Corsica through different periods of history ranging from mesolithic to contemporary.
  •  Megalithic sites: Menhirs, dolmen and walls of enclosures contain many mysteries sometimes still unresolved, as in Cucuruzzu, Filitosa, Cauria
